Waiting for the Train

Each year, we spend part of Zoe’s birthday at the Zoo. It’s our little tradition. This year, we figured she might have her own ideas of how to spend her birthday, since she turned 8 and all. Big girls have big ideas, after all, and we didn’t want her to feel obligated to do something we started before she could talk. So we asked her what she wanted to do. “Go to the Zoo!” The “duh!” was implied.
